it, some rooms in your house are a mess. Our parents and grandparents
would find us pathetic because of our helplessness over clutter. So
why does our generation have so much trouble coping with
"stuff"?
Mainly,
it's because there is just so much more of it. We get more mail in a
week than our elders used to get in a year. We have more gadgets
and gizmos because the old ones become obsolete so quickly. But
we don't discard the old, because they were expensive. We still
harbor that old idea that throwing things out is wrong. So
sometimes we need to give ourselves permission to purge - and some
techniques to get it done.
